Editorial Policy

STL Food Truck Journal is an independent local editorial platform. The following policy describes how we approach profiles, reviews, corrections, sponsored content, disclosures, and editorial independence. These standards apply to all published content.

Profiles

Food truck profiles are prepared at the discretion of STL Food Truck Journal. Profiles may be based on interviews, direct observation, public information, or submitted materials. Business owners and operators may provide factual information — including hours, menu items, service areas, and business history — for consideration. Submission of information does not guarantee a profile will be published. All profile content is subject to editorial review and fact-checking before publication.

Reviews

Reviews reflect the independent assessment of STL Food Truck Journal and its contributors. Businesses are not notified in advance of a review visit. Reviews are not commissioned by, paid for, or approved by the businesses being reviewed. Positive coverage is not guaranteed and is not for sale.

Corrections

STL Food Truck Journal is committed to accuracy. Business owners and operators may request factual corrections by contacting us at hello@stlfoodtruckjournal.com. Correction requests should identify the specific error and provide documentation where available. STL Food Truck Journal will review all correction requests and issue corrections when warranted. Final decisions on corrections remain with STL Food Truck Journal editorial staff.

Sponsored Content

Any content produced in exchange for payment, goods, services, or other compensation will be clearly labeled as sponsored at the top of the piece. Sponsored content is subject to the same factual accuracy standards as editorial content. Sponsors do not have editorial control over the content, framing, or conclusions of sponsored pieces.

Disclosures

When a conflict of interest exists — including personal relationships, prior business dealings, or any form of compensation related to a subject — that relationship will be disclosed within the relevant content. STL Food Truck Journal does not accept free meals, goods, or services in exchange for coverage or favorable treatment.

Editorial Independence

Editorial decisions at STL Food Truck Journal are made independently. Business owners, advertisers, sponsors, and third parties do not direct, approve, or control editorial content. Requests to alter published editorial content for reasons other than factual accuracy will not be honored. STL Food Truck Journal retains final authority over all content decisions, including what is published, how it is framed, and when or whether corrections are issued.
